GOKUN – Fragrant Obi Knot Art Brooch
Quietly fragrant. Distinctly Japanese.
Designed to rest between the folds of an obi knot,
this piece releases a subtle scent with every movement.
Compatible with Otaiko, Ginza, and Bunko obi styles,
it enhances the sculptural form of the knot without disturbing its balance.
Five traditional Japanese incense scents are prepared:
Bamboo · Wisteria · Plum · Orchid · Chrysanthemum
Each fragrance reflects a virtue rooted in Japanese aesthetics —
purity, elegance, resilience, refinement, and dignity.
Unlike perfume, which clings to the body,
this is fragrance that resides in gesture.
It dissolves gently into space, leaving a quiet and lasting impression —
a beauty unique to Japanese incense.

本作品は、日本藝術大賞受賞歴を持つミルフルism作品のメンバー作家、植野成美により制作されています。
キュキュチャーム®︎マスターとして活動し、
メゾンドミルフルでは着物や和ノベーション作品を担当。
伝統的な和の素材を現代の感性で再構築することを得意とし、
静けさの中に凛とした存在感を宿す作品を生み出しています。
頁の標は、その繊細な手仕事と日本の美意識が重なり合い、

Narumi Ueno
This piece is created by Narumi Ueno,
a member artist of the Mille Heureux collective, whose works have received recognition including the Japan Art Award.
As a Cucucharm® Master,
she is responsible for kimono-based and “Wa-innovation” creations at Maison de Mille Heureux.
Her practice reinterprets traditional Japanese materials through a contemporary lens,
bringing quiet strength and refined presence into each piece.
Every Shirube is carefully handcrafted,
embodying Japanese aesthetics and mindful craftsmanship.
